Free Speech Has Been Expanded On The Campus Of East Tennessee State University. The University’s Board Of Trustees Voted To Approve Two Different Measures. The First Resolution, Replicates Language Used In The State Statute And Promotes The Free Exchange Of Ideas, Even If They Are Considered Offensive Or Inappropriate By Most. The Second Clause States It’s Not The University’s Duty To Shield People From Free Speech And Faculty Members Are Also Protected From Being Punished For Their Speech In The Classroom.
