A JOHNSON CITY WOMAN IS FACING CHARGES AFTER POLICE SAY SHE ATTEMPTED TO DESTROY EVIDENCE FROM A CRIME SCENE. 33 YEAR OLD ROSEMARY CLEMONS IS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A PARKING LOT ON EAST UNAKA STREET TO INVESTIGATE REPORTS OF A MAN COVERED IN BLOOD. THE VICTIM, BILLY CLEMONS, REPORTEDLY HAD A SEVERE LACERATION TO HIS ARM AND WAS SEMI CONSCIOUS. AN INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE VICTIM AND THE SUSPECT, WHO IS HIS WIFE, HAD GOTTEN INTO AN ALTERCATION. DURING THE ARGUMENT, BILLY CLEMMONS WAS STABBED BY HIS WIFE. POLICE SAY MRS. CLEMONS ATTEMPTED TO CLEAN UP AND DESTROY EVIDENCE AT THE SCENE OF THE STABBING. SHE IS BEING HELD IN THE WASHINGTON COUNTY DETENTION CENTER UNDER BOND OF 60-THOUSAND DOLLARS. ROSEMARY CLEMMONS WILL APPEAR IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT ON THURSDAY.
