Sullivan County Leaders Have Voted To Move Forward With An Application To The Tennessee Supreme Court Seeking To Appeal A Lower Court’s Ruling Against The County’s Attempt To Seek A Share Of Past Liquor-By-The-Drink Taxes Collected By The Cities Of Kingsport And Bristol. The Suit Seeks Roughly 1.9 Million Dollars Total Back Taxes Between The Two Cities. The County Has Filed An Application For The Appeal. Now It’s A Waiting Game To See If The Court Will Take Up The Case.
