Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s Proposed 2018-19 Fiscal Year Spending Plan Has A Half-A-Million Dollars In Place For The Re-Opening Of The Jackson Theatre In Jonesborough. The Town Purchased The 100 Year Old Building Four Years Ago For 550-Thousand Dollars With The Intention Of Renovating And Restoring It To Host Plays For The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, Music Performances And To Screen Movies. Mayor Chuck Vest Said This Grant Will Really Help To Achieve The Goal Quicker.
