A Busy Bristol Virginia Intersection Targeted For Safety Improvements Has The City’s Highest Crash Rate. The Intersection Of Lee Highway, Old Airport Road, And Clear Creek Road At Exit 7 Was The Scene Of 70 Crashes In 2016 And 2017. Police Worked 26 Crashes There In 2017, When Construction Was Occurring In That Area. The City Is Working With The Virginia Department Of Transportation To Reconfigure The Intersection With The Help Of A 3.28 Million Dollar Grant For The Project. Work Isn’t Expected To Start For A Couple Of Years.
