At The Present Time, Around 40 Percent Of Holston Electric Cooperative’s 30-Thousand Customers In Hawkins And Hamblen Counties Have No Access To The Internet. The Power Supplier Has Announced The Creation Of A New Broadband Subsidiary Called Holston Connect. General Manager Jimmy Sandlin Said The Company Expects To Begin Running Broadband Lines To Customers Sometime This Summer, And The Goal Is To Have The Service Available To The Entire 525-Square Mile System In Three To Five Years.
