The Retired Director Of Sullivan County’s Solid Waste Is Hoping To Have His Guilty Plea On A Drug Charge Expunged From His Record. Lucian Lawson Plead Guilty Last Month To One Count Of Casual Exchange, Which Is A Misdemeanor. Lawson Submitted His Letter Of Resignation On The Same Day As His Plea. Two Weeks Later, A Retirement Party Was Held. His Charge Came As A Result Of A May Bust At The Sullivan County Recycling And Transfer Station On Brookside Drive In Kingsport. The Tbi And Local Agencies Conducted An Undercover Probe Into Drug Activity At The Facility. Several Other People Were Also Arrested In The Sting. A Judge Will Have To Decide On Lawson’s Case.
