Unicoi County Schools Have Won Exemplary School District Status From The Tennessee Department Of Education. This Is Due To The Overall Achievement Growth In Tn Ready Testing Of 3rd Through 8th Grade Students And Other District Accountability Standards Met During The 2016-17 School Year. Region-Wide, Washington County, Johnson City, Elizabethton And Greeneville Schools Also Earned The Status.
