The Tennessee Secretary Of State Says More Than 10,000 Dead Voters Have Been Removed From As Part Of An Effort To Clean Up The Election Rolls. Secretary Of State Tre Hargett SAID That Tennessee Has Connected With 14 States To Share Voter Registration Information And See If Some Voters Are Also Casting Ballots In Other States. The Kingsport Times-News Reports That The Effort To Purge Dead People From Voter Rolls Began When The GOP Took Over Control Of The Tennessee General Assembly Last Year. That Effort Was Inspired By A 2005 Memphis Special Election Where The Identities Of Dead Voters Were Used To Cast Ballots In A Tight State Senatorial Race.
