WASHINGTON COUNTY VIRGINIA AUTHORITIES ARE LOOKING FOR THE MAN THEY SAY HELD UP A CONVENIENCE STORE JUST AFTER 4 A.M. MONDAY MORNING. THE WHITE MALE, APPROXIMATELY 25 YEARS OF AGE, WAS REPORTEDLY WEARING A BEIGE BASEBALL CAP WITH A BLACK AND WHITE BANDANA COVERING THE LOWER PORTION OF HIS FACE. THE SUSPECT ENTERED THE ROADRUNNER MARKET AT EXIT 13 OFF INTERSTATE 81 AND DEMANDED MONEY FROM THE CLERK. ACCORDING TO SHERIFF FRED NEWMAN, THE CLERK DID NOT SEE A WEAPON, BUT THE MAN KEPT HIS HAND IN HIS POCKET WHEN HE MADE THE DEMAND. THE SUSPECT FLED WITH THE SMALL AMOUNT OF MONEY IN WHAT APPEARED TO A LIGHT-COLORED COMPACT SIZE PICKUP TRUCK. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION IS URGED TO CONTACT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING.
