A BRISTOL TENNESSEE WOMAN HAS FILED A CIVIL SUIT AGAINST A CITY BUS COMPANY AND ONE OF ITS FORMER DRIVERS FOR NEGLIGENCE. THE SUIT FILED BY ATTORNEY TODD EAST ON BEHALF OF HOLLY ROBERTS, SEEKS 25-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DAMAGES FROM HOLSTON BUS COMPANY INCORPORATED AND FORMER BUS DRIVER MARY CALLAGHAN. IT’S ALLEGED THAT IN 2006 CALLAGHAN LEFT A SEVEN YEAR OLD BOY UNATTENDED IN A BUS FOR HOURS. THE CHILD APPARENTLY HAD FALLEN ASLEEP ON THE BUS WHILE ENROUTE TO ANDERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE CHILD DIDN’T WAKEUP UNTIL THE WOMAN STOPPED THE BUS AT HER HOME. A SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED LAST WEEK WHEN A BOY WAS ALLEGEDLY FOUND UNATTENDED ON A HOLSTON OWNED BUS. THE CIVIL SUIT IS SET TO BE HEARD IN SESSIONS COURT ON DECEMBER 13TH.
