THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL AT A HAWKINS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL. THERE WERE TENSE MOMENTS YESTERDAY WHEN SCHOOL OFFICIALS DECIDED TO PLACE VOLUNTEER HIGH SCHOOL IN LOCKDOWN AFTER A 16 YEAR OLD STUDENT MADE A THREAT TO KILL TEACHERS. THE SUSPECT, WHO WAS IN FOSTER CARE, WAS APPREHENDED BY POLICE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. THE TEEN FACES CHARGES OF EVADING ARREST, RESISTING ARREST, MAKING A FALSE REPORT, MAKING A TERRORIST THREAT AND FOR BEING A RUNAWAY. HE’S BEING HELD IN THE JOHNSON CITY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER. STUDENTS WERE EVENTUALLY ALLOWED TO LEAVE AS LONG AS THEIR PARENTS SIGNED THEM OUT. NO GUN WAS EVER LOCATED AND NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE INCIDENT. SCHOOL OFFICIALS WERE PLEASED WITH HOW WELL SECURITY MEASURES WERE FOLLOWED AND THE WAY EVERYTHING ENDED.
