Two Northeast Tennessee Lawmakers Have Come Out In Opposition To An Increase Of The Cable Television Tax Included In The Proposed 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Budget. Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey And House Majority Leader Jason Mumpower Are Both Opposed To The Cable Tv Tax Increase. According To Ramsey, A Blountville Republican And Gubernatorial Candidate, Increasing The Cable Bill Of Tennessee Citizens Is Not The Way To Balance The State Budget. He Said Lawmakers Must Reduce Spending And Encourage Job Creation To Grow Out Of The Current Economic Climate.
