A Mountain City Man Is Behind Bars In North Carolina After Being Arrested By The Watauga County Sheriff’s Department On Drug Related Charges. William Wayne Carpenter Was Charged With Possession Of Meth Precursors With The Intent To Manufacture Methamphetamine. He’s Accused Of Going To Various Pharmacies To Purchase Items To Manufacture The Drug. Officers Reportedly Found Evidence In Carpenter’s Car That Had Been Purchasing The Components At Several Pharmacies. He’s Being Held In The Watauga County Detention Center On A12-Thousand Dollar Bond And Is Slated To Appear In Court On March 11th. The Investigation Is Ongoing, And More Arrests Are Expected.
