The Tazewell County Virginia Board Of Supervisors Has Passed A Tall Structure Ordinance That Prevents A Proposed Wind Energy Farm From Being Developed. Supervisors Voted In Favor Of The So-Called Ridgeline Protection Ordinance, Which Restricts The Development Of Structures More Than 40 Feet High, Such As Wind Turbines Along Places Like East River Mountain And Burkes Garden. Mike Hymes, The Board’s Southern District Supervisor Claims The Wind Turbines Have Generated Too Much Controversy And Will Create Too Little Public Revenue.
