JOHNSON CITY POLICE HAVE ARRESTED A MAN WANTED OUT OF NASHVILLE ON ROBBERY AND HOMICIDE CHARGES. AN OFFICER OBSERVED A FORD MUSTANG THAT HAD BEEN REPORTED STOLEN OUT OF SHELBYVILLE TENNESSEE TRAVELING ON WEST MARKET STREET. THE OCCUPANT OF THE CAR WAS BELIEVED TO BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND THE DRIVER WAS IDENTIFIED AS 57 YEAR OLD JAMES FARRIS WHO WAS WANTED. HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT. FARRIS IS BEING HELD IN THE WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE DETENTION CENTER WITH NO BOND, PENDING EXTRADITION.
