Dr. Robert Rainwater, Acting President Of Virginia Intermont College, Has Announced A Nearly 20 Percent Across-The-Board Reduction In Staff Designed To Strengthen The Financial Future Of The College. He Said The Elimination Of The 40 Positions Is Not A Quick-Fix, But A Long-Range Attainable Goal For The Christian-Based, Liberal Arts Facility. The Staff Reduction Includes Five Faculty Positions, One Assistant Coach And Others In Housekeeping And The Business Office. As Part Of The Restructuring Plan, The College Will Use Revenue Enhancements And One-Time Reserves To Restrict Budget Reductions To As Low As Possible.
