Some Bridge Work In Smyth County Virginia Will Begin Thanks To Stimulus Funding. Two Bridges That Carry Motorists Across Bear Creek On Route 617, Flowing Springs Road And Route 622, Or Bear Creek Road, Are Among Five In Smyth County Set For Repairs. They’re Part Of 119 In The State To Be Repaired With Money Received From The American Recovery And Reinvestment Act. According To A Richmond Times-Dispatch Review, Virginia’s Bridges Are Generally A Bit Newer And In Slightly Better Shape Than The National Average.
