A northeast Tennessee man serving five years in prison for attempting to have sex with a 13-year-old girl in Kentucky now faces eight more years after being sentenced on a child porn charge. 28-year-old Dustin McPhetridge was sentenced yesterday in Hawkins County Circuit Court. McPhetridge made national headlines two years ago when he appeared on “Dateline NBC: To Catch a Predator” program. After chatting online with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl, he drove five hours from his home in Surgoinsville to Bowling Green, Ky., under the pretense of having sex with the girl. Instead he was met by authorities and show host Chris Hanson. McPhetridge admitted having child pornography in his home. A search revealed CDs with more than 100 child porn images.
