The Appellate Court Granted Micah Cates A New Trial Due To A Blood Sample Drawn Without A Warrant. Cates’ Vehicle Crashed Into A Pole At 85 Miles Per Hour In The Parking Lot Of The Milligan Grocery, Killing His Passenger, Tanner Perkins. In March 2014, Cates Was Found Guilty Of Vehicular Homicide By Intoxication And Sentenced Two Months Later To Serve Eight Years In Prison.
