As The Investigation Continues Into An Assault Of An East Tennessee State University College Student, Some Students Feel More Could Have Been Done. The Attack Took Place Near College Heights Road On The Back Side Of The Campus. The Student Was Hit With Something And Knocked Unconscious. He Went To A Local Hospital Were He Was Treated And Released. Etsu Officials Issued A Gold Alert, Which Is A Mass E-Mail To Students, But Some Say They Never Got It. Etsu Spokesman Joe Smith Says Otherwise. The Alert System Has Been Used For Several Years By Etsu Officials Who Say They Will Continue The Procedure In Hopes Of Getting Students Informed.
