The Number Of Sullivan County Commissioners Could Be Changing In The Near Future. A Committee Will Meet Soon To Put Together A Proposal For Reducing The Size Of The Now 24-Member Panel, To Leave Only 14 Members In Time For The 2018 Election. The Change Is Based On Redistricting Figures From 2013 And Aims To Adjust District Lines And Achieve Equal Representation Of The Population. The Move Is Expected To Save The County 76-Thousand Dollars Per Year From The County’s Operational Costs.
