Unicoi County Leaders Have Approved A Fiscal Year 2015-16 Spending Plan. The 7.3 Million Dollar Budget Will Not Include Any Change To The Real Estate Tax Rates. The Big Change Is In The Family Insurance Plan. Until Now, The County Had Paid 100-Percent Of Premiums In Lieu Of A Raise. County Leaders Have Voted Instead To Reinstate The Raises And Have The Employees With Family Insurance Pay $873 Monthly For The Lower Deductible Plan Or $510 Monthly For The Family Insurance With The High Deductible. This Move Will Save The County 116-Thousand Dollars Each Year.
