A Kingsport Chemical Company Has Been Fined Thousands Of Dollars For Polluting The South Fork Of Holston River Several Times Over The Last Two Years. The Fines, From The Tennessee Department Of Environment And Conservation, Were Handed Down To Eastman And Stem From Six Separate Incidents. The Company Paid A Civil Fine Of Around 13-Thousand Dollars Which Includes Payments To The TWRA To Investigate The Deaths Of At Least 20 Fish. Teastman Was Also Ordered To Update Its Emergency Response Plan And Submit A Corrective Action Plan.
