An Abingdon Virginia Man Accused In The Stabbing Death Of His Father Has Been Arraigned On Four Counts Of Violation Of Probation. Commonwealth Attorney Nicole Price Said The Violations Against 31 Year Old Joshua Copeland Were The Result Of The Murder Charge. Copeland Is Accused Of Killing Edsel Copeland Who Was Found With A Stab Wound To His Chest In A Parking Lot Behind The Parole Office In Abingdon. Joshua Was On Probation For Grand Larceny Of A Firearm, Burglary, Unauthorized Use Of A Vehicle And Manufacturing Meth. A Preliminary Hearing Has Been Set For September 3rd For The Murder Charge. A Probation Revocation Hearing Is Set For December 10th. Copeland Remains Held Without Bond.
