Beginning July First, Uninsured Drivrs In Tennessee Will Have To Dig A Little Deeper In Their Pockets If They’re Caught. Normally The Fine Is 100 Dollars, But It Jumps To 300 Dollars. One Area Lawmaker Who Supports The Increase Fine Says A 100 Fine Isn’t Enough To Deter Driving Uninsured. Representative David Hawk, A Greeneville Republican, Said 300 Dollars Is Comparable To The Price Of Insurance And Drivers Will Decide If It’s Worth The Risk. He Added That Legislators Are Working To Get Insurance Information Shared Between The Tennessee Department Of Insurance, Private Insurance Companies, And Law Enforcement Agencies.
