The Final Facilities Study Report Has Been Presented To Kingsport School Leaders. The Three-Phase Plan Would Cost 93.6 Million Dollars Over A 10-Year Period. During Phase One Of The Plan, A New Science And Technology Building Would Be Built At Dobyns-Bennett High School, Sevier Middle School Would Be Converted To An Elementary School And Jackson Elementary Would Be Closed. Two Other Phases Are Being Considered As Well. The City Is Expected To Vote On Accepting The Plan At It’s June 4th Meeting. A Joint City-County School Board Meeting Is Set For June 16th.
