The Bristol Tennessee City Council Has Decided On First Reading, Not Raise Property Taxes Next Fiscal Year. The New Proposed Spending Plan Calls For The Property Tax Rate To Remain At 2.25 Cents Per 100 Dollars Of Assessed Value. Also, Solid Waste, Storm Water And Sewer Fees Will Also Remain The Same. However, There Is A 3.5 Percent Water Rate Increase As Well As An Employee Cost Of Living Increase Of 1.7 Percent That Is Included In The 2015-16 Fiscal Year Budget. Second Reading And A Public Hearing Will Be Held June 2nd. The New Spending Plan Goes Into Place July 1st.
