The Hawkins County School System Is Learning That Small Behavioral Changes In Energy Conservation, Will Have A Big Impact. Over The Past 31 Months, The School System Has Reduced Its Energy Consumption By Four-Tenths-Of-A-Percent. With More Than 700 Classrooms Across The County Saving Nickels And Dimes On A Daily Basis, The Total Adds Up. The Reduction Translates To Over 19-Hundred Tons Of Carbon Dioxide Removed From The Atmosphere, Which Is Equivalent To 408 Passenger Cars Removed From The Road Or 50-Thousand Trees Planted.
