A New Animal Shelter Will Soon Open Up In Scott County, Virginia. County Officials Held A Groundbreaking Ceremony Thursday At The Site Of The Facility On Six Acres Of County-Owned Property Near The Solid Waste And Recycling Center In Gate City. Public Works Director Bill Dingus Said The New Location Will Lead To More Adopted Animals. Back In December, The Former Animal Shelter Caught On Fire. The New Facility Is Expected To Open By June Or July.
