A Deal Has Fallen Through That Would Have Razed The Old General Mills Site In Downtown Johnson City And Allowed For A 216-Unit Apartment Complex To Be Built. The Chamber Of Commerce Owns The Site, Which Has Been At The Center Of Controversy Ever Since The Proposed Apartment Complex Was Announced. The Reason For The Project Being Called Off Is Still Unknown. The Chamber Will Now Take The Necessary Steps To Dissolve The Contract With The Developer.
