The Carter County Election Commission Will Have A New Home Soon. County Leaders Decided Earlier This Week To Move The Election Commission To The Old 911 Center. It Currently Operates Out Of The County Courthouse. County Mayor Leon Humphrey Says The Change Is Way Over Due Since There’s Not Enough Room For The Workers Or Voting Machines At The Current Location. He Hopes The New Location Will Entice More People To Show Up And Vote. The Change Should Be Completed By September Of This Year.
