Unicoi County Leaders Have Been Urged To Pass The County Budget Earlier This Year Than In The Past In Order To Avoid Negative Financial Consequences. Typically In The Past, County Leaders Pass The Overall Budget In September. The Tennessee Comptroller Of The Treasury Has Told County Officials, It Would Be Best To Have The 2015-16 Fiscal Year Budget Passed And Ready For State Review By July 1st. If That Doesn’t Happen, It Could Keep The County From Borrowing The Funding Needed For Some County Operations.
