A JOHNSON COUNTY RESCUE SQUAD DRIVER WHO WAS SERIOUSLY HURT IN A FATAL CRASH LAST WEEK HAS DIED AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL FROM HIS INJURIES. 57 YEAR OLD JOSEPH BARLOW OF MOUNTAIN CITY DIED FRIDAY. THE AMBULANCE BARLOW WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 67 LAST TUESDAY WAS STRUCK BY A CAR THAT CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND STRUCK THE EMERGENCY VEHICLE. THE AMBULANCE LEFT THE ROAD AND WENT DOWN A 20 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND OVERTURNED. THE PATIENT BEING TRANSPORTED, 57 YEAR OLD ALICIA MCCOY WAS KILLED IN THE CRASH. THE DRIVER OF THE CAR, 51 YEAR OLD BRENDA BUCHANAN WAS INJURED AND CHARGES ARE PENDING.
