A VERDICT IN A TWO-YEAR CASE AGAINST A FORMER JOHNSON CITY EMPLOYEE HAS BEEN DELAYED AGAIN. SAYING HE NEEDED MORE TIME TO EXAMINE THE CASE AGAINST 54 YEAR OLD DANNY DAVIS, JUDGE ROBERT CUPP DELAYED A VERDICT UNTIL LATER THIS MONTH. DAVIS IS CHARGED WITH MONEY LAUNDERING, THEFT OVER 10-THOUSAND DOLLARS, FORGERY, AND OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT. HE ALLEGEDLY BENEFITTED FROM HIS POSITION BY BIDDING ON JOBS THROUGH GRAY HOME IMPROVEMENT, WHICH WAS A FAKE COMPANY HE CREATED. JUDGE CUPP IS EXPECTED TO HAND DOWN HIS DECISION ON SEPTEMBER 30TH.
