A Southwest Virginia School System Is Coming Under Scrutiny. U.S. Marshals Served Subpoenas To Members Of The Buchanan County Board Of Supervisors, The County Administrator And An Interim Superintendent. They’re Required To Testify Before A Federal Grand Jury In Abingdon Or Hand Over Any Records They May Have Pertaining To The Federal Investigation That Reportedly Concerns Misappropriation And Or Theft Of Funds From The Buchanan County Public School System. County Schools Are Allegedly Nearly Nine Million Dollars In Debt And Almost All Of Their Schools Have Lost Their Accreditation.
