Kingsport Leaders Are Seeking A Charter Change To Address Special Elections. If A Sitting Alderman Is Elected Mayor In The Upcoming City Election, Rather Than Pay 35-Thousand Dollars To Hold A Special Election, The Board Of Mayor And Alderman Plans To Appoint A Replacement To Serve The Remainder Of The Term.
