After a former nursing home employee was charged with sexually assaulting four patients, co-workers say their complaints about him were ignored. 35 year old James Wright was indicted in Virginia last month on four counts of aggravated sexual battery. The indictment alleges Wright abused four elderly and helpless women at a nursing home owned by Murfreesboro-based National Healthcare Corporation. The Virginia Board of Nursing is also investigating and reports seven patients were harmed under Wright’s care at NHC. Wright was fired earlier this year when allegations that he hurt patients surfaced. Patricia Davenport, a former co-worker, told the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia that she filed two complaints against Wright with the nursing home but no action was taken. Two other former NHC employees also claimed they filed complaints about Wright with nursing home supervisors.
