A SULLIVAN COUNTY GRAND JURY HAS INDICTED A GRAY TENNESSEE MAN IN CONNECTION WITH A DRAG RACING INCIDENT LAST YEAR THAT INVOLVED MULTIPLE VEHICLES. 23 YEAR OLD JOSEPH CORNELL IS CHARGED WITH DUI, DRAG RACING, DRAG RACING RESULTING IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, POSSESSION OF METHADONE AND SEVERAL VANDALISM CHARGES. ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTIONIST DALE FARMER SAYS AN INVESTIGATION REVEALED CORNELL’S FORD MUSTANG AND A CHEVROLET CORVETTE WERE ALLEGEDLY DRAG RACING ON EAST STONE DRIVE WHEN CORNELL LOST CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE, WENT 150 FEET AIRBORNE AND LANDED ON TOP OF A VEHICLE AT NARD’S AUTOMOTIVE.
