WITH THE PUBLIC FACING A CONTROVERSIAL HEALTH CARE BILL AND ECONOMIC CHALLENGES, U.S. SENATOR BOB CORKER IS HOLDING TOWN HALL MEETINGS AROUND THE TRI CITIES THIS WEEK. HE SAYS HE’S SEEING PEOPLE GET MORE INVOLVED IN IMPORTANT ISSUES THAT AFFECT THEM. CORKER SAID HE HAS HAS MET WITH PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA AND CONVEYED TO HIM THAT 60 DAYS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO CRAFT SWEEPING HEALTH CARE REFORM.
