WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE COMMISSIONERS HAVE ACCEPTED A LAND SWAP DEAL. THE DEAL IS THE RESULT OF MORE THAN A YEAR OF NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE COUNTY, JOHNSON CITY, AND MOUNTAIN STATES HEALTH ALLIANCE. THE COUNTY HAS REACHED A LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH THE HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATION FOR THE NEW HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING ON PRINCETON ROAD. THE CITY WILL DEED TO MOUNTAIN STATES HEALTH ALLIANCE ITS INTEREST IN THE PRESENT HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON STATE OF FRANKLIN ROAD AND THE COUNTY WILL PAY THE CITY 1.25 MILLION IF THE PRINCETON ROAD PROPERTY IS EVER SOLD.
