A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WORKER WAS KILLED THIS MORNING IN SULLIVAN COUNTY AFTER THE THREE FELL INTO THE WATERS OF THE HOLSTON RIVER FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT. THE TWO MEN AND ONE WOMAN WHO WORKED FOR SIMPSON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OUT OF CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE, WERE RESCUED UNDER THE HIGHWAY 75 BRIDGE BELOW BOONE DAM WHEN REBAR TUMBLED OFF THE BRIDGE. ONE OF THE WORKERS WAS RUSHED TO HOLSTON VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER BY AMBULANCE. ANOTHER WAS AIRLIFTED TO JOHNSON CITY MEDICAL CENTER. PERSON. THE THIRD WORKER WAS FOUND AROUND 11:30 A.M. THEIR NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED.
