A NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIER FROM ROGERSVILLE IS ONE OF TWO FROM TENNESSEE TO RECEIVE A PURPLE HEART. SPECIALIST ROBERT FLETCHER OF ROGERSVILLE AND SPECIALIST CALEB DUTTON OF MOUNT JULIET WERE BOTH INJURED WHEN A 55-GALLON DRUM FILLED WITH EXPLOSIVES DETONATED NEAR THEIR PATROL IN MARCH WHILE SERVING IN IRAQ. BOTH ARE MEMBERS OF THE TENNESSEE NATIONAL GUARD MURFREESBORO’S 269TH MILITARY POLICE COMPANY. THIS UNIT IS SCHEDULED TO RETURN TO TENNESSEE IN NOVEMBER OF THIS YEAR.
