A SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA DOCTOR WHO REMAINS ON PROBATION CAN BEGIN PRACTICING MEDICINE AGAIN ON A LIMITED BASIS. THE VIRGINIA BOARD OF MEDICINE VOTED TO REINSTATE DR. DEBORAH WEDDINGTON’S LICENCE BUT SHE WILL REMAIN ON INDEFINITE PROBATION FOR AT LEAST 18 MONTHS. WEDDINGTON FORMERLY PRACTICED AT MED EXPRESS ON EULID AVENUE IN BRISTOL VIRGINIA. SHE WAS PLACED ON PROBATION AND ORDERED TO STOP TREATING PEOPLE AFTER SHE WAS ACCUSED OF POSING SUBSTANTIAL DANGER TO PUBLIC HEALTH FOR DISOBEYING BOARD ORDERS, KEEPING INCOMPLETE PATIENT RECORDS AND NUMBEROUS OTHER OFFENSES. WEDDINGTON CAN APPEAL THIS LATEST ACTION BY THE VIRGINIA BOARD OF MEDICINE, BUT ITS UNCLEAR IF THAT WILL HAPPEN.
