THE BUCHANAN COUNTY VIRGINIA SHERIFF’S OFFICE CONTINUES ITS INVESTIGATION INTO THE MURDERS OF THREE PEOPLE LAST WEEK IN HURLEY. FRANK THOMAS, JR. IS A SUSPECT IN THE MURDERS OF 48 YEAR OLD ROGER JUSTICE AND HIS WIFE, 57 YEAR OLD JANICE JUSTICE WHO WERE FOUND SHOT TO DEATH AT THEIR HOME ON KNOX CREEK ROAD. IN A SEPARATE SHOOTING, 40 YEAR OLD TIMOTHY DALE BLANKENSHIP WHO WAS FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOME A FEW MILES AWAY. THOMAS WAS ALREADY WANTED BY POLICE ON FIVE FELONY AND THREE MISDEMEANOR CHARGES INCLUDING GRAND LARCENY, ROBBERY, ASSAULT, AND CARJACKING. MURDER CHARGES AGAINST THOMAS ARE PENDING. SOME REPORTS INDICATE THE SHOOTINGS COULD HAVE BEEN OVER DRUGS BUT SHERIFF RAY FOSTER ISN’T SAYING AT THIS TIME. THE BODIES OF THE VICTIMS HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE MEDICAL EXAMINERS OFFICE IN ROANOKE FOR AUTOPSIES TO DETERMINE THE OFFICIAL CAUSE OF DEATH. THE INVESTIGATION IS STILL CONTINUING.
