TWO LARGE MARIJUANA GROW SITES WITH PLANTS VALUED AT 200-THOUSAND DOLLARS HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED IN SCOTT COUNTY VIRGINIA. SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES FOUND MORE THAN 70 PLANTS IN THE HILTONS AND DUNGANNON SECTIONS OF THE COUNTY. THE PLANTS RANGED FROM ONE TO SIX FEET TALL. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE VIRGINIA STATE POLICE DRUG TASK FORCE USED TWO VIRGINIA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD HELICOPTERS TO CONDUCT THE ERADICATION OPERATIONS. SHERIFF JOHN PUCKETT SAID NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED SO FAR AND NO SUSPECTS ARRESTED. THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.
