A SMYTH COUNTY VIRGINIA MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING ANOTHER MAN IS FREE ON BOND. MAURICE JOHNSON OF KONNAROCK IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE OCTOBER 11TH DEATH OF CURTIS HILL, ALSO OF KONNAROCK. HE’S ACCUSED OF GUNNING DOWN HILL DURING A DOMESTIC DISPUTE. JOHNSON ALLEGEDLY ADMITTED TO THE KILLING AND IS CURRENTLY FREE ON A 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND. HIS PRELIMINARY HEARING DATE IS SET FOR DECEMBER 29TH IN SMYTH COUNTY GENERAL DISTRICT COURT.
