TWO INMATES AT A FEDERAL PRISON IN LEE COUNTY VIRGINIA HAVE BEEN GIVEN ADDITIONAL PRISON TIME FOR ASSAULTING ANOTHER FEDERAL INMATE. 30 YEAR OLD RONNIE VAUGHN AND 31 YEAR OLD MICHAEL MCCULLOUGH WERE INDICTED BY A FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN ABINGDON ON CHARGES OF ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO COMMIT MURDER, ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, ASSAULT RESULTING IN BODILY INJURY, AND ONE COUNT OF BEING A FEDERAL INMATE IN POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED OBJECT. THE TWO MEN ALLEGEDLY ENTERED ANOTHER INMATE’S CELL AND BEGAN PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING HIM AND REPEATEDLY STABBED HIM OVER 31 TIMES. VAUGHN WAS SENTENCED TO AN ADDITIONAL 175 MONTHS, WHILE MCCULLOUGH WILL SERVE AN ADDTIONAL 162 MONTHS.
