A SERIES OF CHARGES AGAINST A CARTER COUNTY MAN IN CONNECTION WITH A SEPTEMBER HOME INVASION HAVE BEEN DISMISSED IN SESSIONS COURT. 26 YEAR OLD TRAVIS RICHARDSON WAS FACING CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER, ESPECIALLY AGGRAVATED BURGLARY, FELONY RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, AND STABBING STEMMING FROM THE INCIDENT. RICHARDSON HAD BEEN THE SUBJECT OF A LARGE MANHUNT BY THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT AFTER THE SEPTEMBER 24TH STABBING AT THE HOME OF RICHARDSON’S EX-GIRLFRIEND, TRACY SOLOMON. RICHARDSON ENTERED THE RESIDENCE WHILE SOLOMON AND HER NEW BOYFRIEND, DANIEL HONEYCUTT, WERE SLEEPING. SHERIFF CHRIS MATHES SAID RICHARDSON ENTERED THE RESIDENCE AND BEGAN STABBING HONEYCUTT. ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL MARK HILL SAID, WHILE THESE CHARGES WERE DISMISSED, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT RICHARDSON WON’T BE PROSECUTED AT A LATER DATE.
