EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS HAVE RELEASED THE IDENTITY OF THE SUSPECT ACCUSED IN CONNECTION WITH A CARJACKING THIS WEEK ON CAMPUS. AUTHORITIES ARE SEARCHING FOR 38 YEAR OLD DAVID LEE FORNEY II, WHO IS A STUDENT AT THE COLLEGE. ETSU DIRECTOR OF SAFETY JACK COTREL SAYS THE MAN APPROACHED THE STUDENT IN A PARKING LOT ARMED WITH A WEAPON. A BRIEF STRUGGLE ENSUED, BUT THE MAN MANAGED TO TAKE THE GIRL’S CAR – A 2004 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WITH THE LICENSE NUMBER 743 CHV – AND FLEE. THE VEHICLE IS BLACK WITH A TAN STRIPE DOWN THE MIDDLE. FORNEY IS DESCRIBED AS 5-9, 180 POUNDS. IF YOU KNOW HIS WHEREABOUTS YOU NEED TO CALL POLICE.
